The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 Stand Alone DVR System is an entry level, easy to use 16 Channel Security System with all the functions you would need within a DVR CCTV System. The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 DVR Security System has real time display and real time recording. This means that whether you’re watching live or looking at a recording, you are viewing it a real time without slow motion or delayed picture. All 16 Video channels within the system are Audio as well and Security Cameras that are connected to them can have a microphone either installed within them (such as Dome Security Cameras), or connected to the back of the DVR Cameras.

The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 uses the latest video compression H.264 which contains a number of new features that allow it to compress video much more effectively than older standards and to provide more flexibility for application to a wide variety of network environments. H.264 is the latest and more advanced video standard developed jointly by ITU and MPEG. It is also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, or MPEG-4 AVC.

The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 Surveillance CCTV System has remote viewing from any PC or laptop that has Internet connection anywhere in the world. You can remotely view live cameras or playback recorded video with no interruption to the continued recording at the camera location. This feature gives the user the ability to view at any given time the location in which the Security cameras are located. You can remotely view or sear and playback from home, on vacation or on a business trip. This gives you the power to constantly supervise your secured location.

The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 DVR System comes with a 500GB Hard drive. The hard drive records till it’s full, and then does a loop and starts rerecording over itself (recycling). This ensures continued uninterrupted recording with no need to restart the system. The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 Stand Alone System can be left alone until an incident which needs to be saved occurs. A Built-in CD-RW will back up your recorded video (DVD-RW upgrade optional). You can also backup the recordings to a USB memory stick.

The DM-DV-DigiGuard-16 has all methods of recording available, including by time, by event and most popular method- by recording. The system is of course operational at all times (24/7), but the by motion method of recording records only the motion, therefore saving room on the hard drive and making playback easier and faster.
